Additional comments: page 274 in the e-book: Massey, Richard, musician, born in 1798, was organist at the Chapel Royal, Whitehall, for 40 years [1837-77] . He died at London, April 21, 1883.
Another Richard Massey, probably the father of the foregoing, issued a work entitled "Sacred Music: twenty-six psalm tunes and three anthems," Manchester [1810] .
