The book itself is not dated but in Lumley's Bibliographical Advertiser (London, Wednesday, July 19, 1843) the original version is entry no. 8675 (page 132) with a print date of 1839. The new edition is dated by the British Library at 1843. As far as the chants are concerned there is no difference between the two versions. |
